Abstract
Hans Cohn presents a personal account of living with a dual sensory handicap and includes reports on discussions with similarly afflicted people, argue for the separation of deaf-blindness from hearing and visual impairment and for recognition of the problems posed by the latter. Suggestions for the way forward are also include in this article.
