Abstract
Sense has been undertaking a study into the long term impact of Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS) for a number of years. This paper deals particularly with the qualitative data and is one of a pair of papers resulting from the study.
The original work had the aim of identifying and comparing what are commonly termed as the 'Late Manifestations of Congenital Rubella Syndrome.' The study also recorded the prevalence of anomalies which manifested after birth and the initial diagnosis of CRS, and broadly compared these findings with the prevalence of symptoms reported in other countries, whilst acknowledging key differences in the sample group. These findings are reported in the quantitative data report.
